follow blog widget glitch?

I recently noticed that my blog went from close to 1600 blog followers on the Follow Blog widget to about 250 overnight. Is there an update or glitch anyone is aware of?

The widget on your site shows a combination of all followers on your site including WordPress.com followers, email followers, and followers via your connected social media accounts.
I don’t see any changes in your followers – I see 35 WordPress.com and 22 email followers for a total of 57, with the remaining made up by 196 Twitter followers over two accounts.
A severe drop in followers like this can be explained by a social media account being disconnected. Did you recently disconnect anything?
I also don’t see any followers being returned from your Facebook page, so there could be something wrong with that connection. Please try disconnecting and reconnecting Facebook and see if that helps.

I did recently connect my blog to my Facebook page for the blog after the changes that were made that required a Facebook page for automatic posting to Facebook.
I used to be able to connect to my personal page, but then there was a requirement to connect to another page so posts can automatically connect to Facebook.
When I did that I notice the drastic drop.

The Facebook numbers on your personal profile won’t transfer over to your Facebook page. This is why you are seeing that difference, it’s an expected change in the numbers based on what you’ve described.
