Follow Blog Widget not working
-
My follow blog widget doesn’t seem to be working. The follow blog text appears at the bottom of the page but has no link to follow. Also, I would like to move it to the top of the page but am not sure how using CSS. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you try removing, and re-adding the Follow Blog widget?
The theme you’re using, Manifest, does not have space for widgets at the top of the page, only footers. Making that type of change with CSS is pretty complicated, but you could check out the CSS Forums and see if anyone can help you:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization
You may be interested in another theme that has a sidebar, or top menu. Both Bushwick and Sorbet have menus that drop from the top. And you can see themes that have sidebars here:

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. I have tried removing and adding the widget, but this doesn’t seem to change the link. When I hover over the link or click the ‘follow blog via email’ text, nothing happens.
Although I’d prefer to have the widget up the top,I’d like to stay with Manifest for now, but thank you for the other suggestions. I may try the CSS forums and see how I go.

Hi there!
I see. It looks like you have the following code in your CSS menu:
#footer p { visibility: hidden; }This code is hiding your footer, including the Follow Blog widget. Please note, the footer credit is required to be displayed according to our terms of service:
11. Attribution. Automattic reserves the right to display attribution links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com,’ theme author, and font attribution in your blog footer or toolbar. Footer credits and the WordPress.com toolbar may not be altered or removed regardless of upgrades purchased.
Even sites hosted through our VIP program, such as the TED blog, display a credit to WordPress.com in the footer. (See the bottom of http://blog.ted.com/ for an example)
Let me know if you have any additional questions about this.

ah – I see now.. I had removed the footer when experimenting with some CSS code when I first started the blog. I will restore the visibility now.
Thank you for your help.

I can do it for you!
Would you like me to go ahead with the transfer? Or are you still setting up your new site?
