Follow Blog Widget Notification Emails not being sent

I have received an email via my contact form that an individual tried to follow my blog via my widget and she never received a confirmation email. I asked her to check her spam inbox and there was not an email there either. She is not a registered WordPress user.

It is an outlook email address. Is this conversation private? I do not want to share her email publicly.

This is a public support request, but if you reply with the email address in the standard form, only myself and my colleagues will be able to see it.

Sorry, I mean reply with the email addresses in the standard structure, just like you’d type it in an email. :)

We definitely sent a confirmation email.
I’d ask her to try again, and maybe with a different email address if it doesn’t work the second time.

Ok, but she is not enrolled to follow though as a result of missing a step in the confirmation process?

That is correct. She has to click the activation link in the confirmation email first, only then will the subscription be active.
