  Hi– How do I add a FOLLOW button to my Chronicle theme blog?
  I’ve looked at the support info, it shows an illustration but not how to insert a button. The button should allow WordPress and Non- WordPress readers access. Thanks for help.

  You install it in your sidebar > Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets

  Okay, while I have no idea what a blog footer is, I clicked right side, the clicked show blog name, then clicked visibility & save.
  I looked at my blog and did not find a follow my blog widget, whatever.

  Hi there! Can you please head into your Customizer? Here’s a link if you’re not sure how to get there:

  https://martinjryansamerica.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php

  Click on “Widgets”, then select the area that you want to add the follow widget to. After the list of current widgets, click on “Add a Widget”. Type ‘follow’ into the search and click on ‘Follow Blog’ to add the widget.

  From there you can customize the messages in the widget. Then click the red ‘Save & Publish’ button when you’re satisfied with it.

  I had already tried what timethief suggested last–didn’t work both times. I also went to your URL. I had already been there and tried it, but tried again:
  saw no “add a widget.” It says “you are customizing widgets” with a left pointing arrow–clicked on that-then scrolled down the list to “widgets” & clicked. saw “sidebar footer”, “small left”, clicked sidebar–saw a list, but no “follow Blog.” No button on my blog. Still don’t know what a footer is. Time to give up, maybe.

  Thanks all. I just applied a follow button–finally. I had seen the add a widget bar before, but thought it only applied to the visible selections which did not display a button selection(until I clicked add a widget). All that hand holding for a little button. Sorry. It’s very small. Wonder if it will be noticed.What happens if someone clicks it? (if ever). Thanks again. You are too god.

  What happens if someone clicks it?

  If they’re logged in and they clicked it, your site will show in their reader. Give it a try :)
