    Hey there patriciapanahi,

You can add a button to make it possible for people to follow your blog using a widget. I’m not aware right off if an older theme like the one that you’re currently using on patricapanahi.wordpress.com has full widget support. It should though. You may however wish to move to a more current theme. If it’s not actually this blog, you can safely ignore this.

Head over to your blog while you’re logged in, in the lower-right corner of the page, click the ‘Customize’ button. In the left-hand sidebar, click ‘Widgets’, and then ‘Add a Widget’. A list of different widgets should pop out for you to choose from. Scroll down until you find the ‘Follow Blog’ widget. Give it a click. From there, you can customize what it will say in different situations.

If everything looks alright, click the ‘Save & Publish’ button. You now have a follow button for people to use!

If you need any more assistance, or anything is unclear, let me know!

    ~Chris

  • Hi patriciapanahi,

Is this for your https://patriciapanahiauthor.wordpress.com site?

There is a follow button on all WordPress.com sites by default, but since you own the site you won’t see it while you are logged in. If you visit the site from another browser that isn’t logged in, you’ll see the follow button on the bottom right.

Here’s some info on following blogs:

Also, here’s a guide on the Follow Blog widget that @compchris suggested:
