Follow Button on Hemingway Rewritten Theme
-
I’ve selected “follow button” to show in my sidebar. I see the space has been made for it, but the button itself does not appear. I asked about this a couple of weeks ago via Chat and did not receive a reply. We’re ready to “go live” with this blog and obviously would like that critical feature to work ;-)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

P.S. I never make my new blogs private and I do not share the URL with anyone at all until I am ready to do so. That is because it takes weeks for search engines to index content in a new blog and/or to re-index content under a new URL. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
To verify blog ownership of a WordPress.com blog with the major search engines you must use this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don’t feel panicky about this please.Note also that WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines – we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines

I’m going to run through all your suggestions and will only report back if none works, so please keep this string active. RE: private setting, thanks also for info, but I was required by my employer to do just that so the two others have time to OK the blog. Then we will reset as public and send out invitations to approx. 300 target people to check it out. Eventually it’ll all work out as far as search engines go. The info you provided is very useful though. I administer other blogs, so very helpful. Thanks!

Only you can mark this thread resolved so please do not worry about that. Staff will assist you as soon as they work their way forward to this thread.

Based on my testing, once you set your blog to be public, the button should appear.
Let me know if it does not.
