Follow button shows wrong count

Suddenly today my subscribe count is showing 3x the amount it had. When I look at my actual subscribers in my dashboard it show 252.
When I go into my widget where you can choose to display the number or not it says 786. This 786 is showing on my page and in the widget, but not in my actual list of subscribers. I can of course turn the option of displaying off by UN-checking it, but I’d rather it show and be correct. I don’t know how this happened.

I went ahead and unchecked the box to show this false amount. In the widget it still says 784 when my actual followers is under 275.

I figured out what was happening. I had used the publisize feature to connect my twitter account, and widget was adding the twitter followers in with the blog followers. I didn’t see at the bottom of your stats where it says this is included in followers.
