Follow Button Widget Not Showing Properly On Some Themes In Some Widget Areas 2

Kardotim accidentally closed my original topic, the glitch that the topic was about is not fixed but another glitch that I mentioned in the same topic was fixed, so the original topic is still not resolved :D :

It might be a good idea to give me a chance to respond next time before closing the topic Kardotim, hehehe, I forgive you. ;)

  • Hi John,

What is the problem you are having exactly? I don’t see the follow button widget as active on your site at the moment.

    Hello Jerrysarcastic,

I stopped using the Follow Button (partly because of the glitch), but it does not show properly in the Primary Sidebar on the Twenty Fourteen theme and a few other themes in certain Widget Areas.

Not all of my blog title shows and the follower count does not show, but only on certain themes in certain widget areas like the Primary Sidebar on the Twenty Fourteen theme.

The glitch was recognized/acknowledged/verified/et cetera the first and the second time that I reported it, but it has not been fixed yet and Kardotim accidentally closed my topic the second time that I reported it because he mistakenly thought that it had been resolved.

For an example of what I am talking about check out my former blog (I will temporarily add the Follow Button Widget there):

This bug is not a huge problem but I created this topic because of the accidental closure of my second topic about this bug so that the developers will know that this bug has not been resolved.

Also I was wondering if you could check out another bug that I reported before this month ends because the banner will be gone when the month ends in four days:

    Thank you,

The issue has been reported and is on their list to fix. However, it is a low-priority issue at this time, so there is no timetable as to when to expect a fix.

Also I was wondering if you could check out another bug that I reported before this month ends because the banner will be gone when the month ends in four days:

That is not a bug, but the banner in fact hides the theme/WordPress.com credit line, though it does not obscure any site content. As it is opt-in, you can disable if you like, though it will be disabled automatically in 2 days so not worth worrying about perhaps.

Let me know if you need assistance or if you have any questions.

    Hello Jerrysarcastic,

Thank you for updating me on the status of the Follow Button glitch.

The reason that I reported the NSA Banner as a bug was because this does not happen on the other themes that I have tried/tested so far (Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen, Twenty Eleven), but it does happen on Twenty Fourteen only out of those themes that I mentioned; and so I still think that is a bug, but it will be gone in two days but in the future it may be used again and so it would be nice for them to fix this even though it is opt-in in my opinion.

    Thank you for responding,
    -John Jr
