follow button won't work for some subscribers

Some subscribers (non WordPress users) who attempt to sign up for email notifications never get the confirmation email and therefore can’t sign up. Some have tried repeatedly. Others have no problem. I don’t know if this is a problem for some WordPress bloggers as well; no one has notified me if that’s the case, and I’ve had some bloggers join this week.

That’s very strange. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.
Will you please provide a couple of email addresses for those having issues so Staff can see what’s going on? The software will redact theme ie. hide them so only staff can see them.

Hi @jwright303 , the first address is rejecting our subscription message. They might check with their mail provider to see why they would block the message, or they can try another email address.
As for the second address, we don’t actually have any record of them trying to follow by email, so you might have them try subscribing again.
