Follow buttons for social media
-
I wanted to add follow buttons for social media and I followed exactly the procedure as described here:http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-social-media-buttons-to-your-sidebar-or-footer/
However, the buttons don’t appear, instead, I only see a little rectangle. What did I do wrong? and how can I change it?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello dboiv!
When I go to your About page (http://monfoodblog.com/about/) I only see the Twitter link under “Follow Me on Social Media.” You mentioned that the buttons don’t appear, but only see a little rectangle. Did you upload all the social media buttons you wanted to use into your Media Library? If you had linked them but there was no image uploaded, that may be why you only saw the little rectangle.

Thanks Susan,
yes, I did upload the media buttons to my library and linked them according to the instructions in the support forum. If you go on my last post, linguine with with ginger, garlic and hot peppers, you will see what I mean.

Can you share the code within that widget? The only link I see is for Twitter, and it appears as a text link, not an image.

In the media library, I can’t seem to copy the URL link. For each image, I go to edit, the only thing I can copy is monfoodblog.files.wordpress.com
I use Safari. I don’t know if this matters.
