follow buttons on reader doesn't work

    Unfortunately my english is not very good and so I used a translation program for the following text:

    On 12.11.2017 I realized that I can no longer subscribe to a blog in Reader by pressing the “Follow” button.

    A few days earlier, I had some old, no longer active blogs, deleted from there and apparently thus get a block as a spammer from the system.

    Please switch me off again so that I can use the function again normally.

    Hello there!

    I had the same problem and a colleague of yours helped me via email so that I can follow blogs again. Thanks a lot for that!

    Im am a very active blogger, but I am feeling very insecure about following now blogs again, because I have no idea, why I was blocked.

    I find this somewhat irritating since blogging is all about networking and sharing, and I would love to do that also in the future without being afraid to be blocked again.

    So is there a limit about blogs you can follow a day/week/month/year? Is there maybe also a limit for leaving comments on other wp-blogs?

    Hey @kastaniesleseecke!

    Although I cannot divulge the number, there is a limit to how many blogs you can click to follow within a certain time frame, but the number is so ridiculously high that either a spam bot is following the blogs or someone is intentionally spending a significant amount of time following blogs without the possibility of actually reading them.

    We have controls in place to monitor the activity and for those that are in violation are deactivated. However, no system is perfect and there are people who get their follows deactivated that aren’t in violation. So, unless you are constantly clicking the follow button to follow a lot of sites for a long duration of time, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about moving forward.
