Follow By Email Issue

  Follow By Email option works for some and not for others. They say that they received a mail saying you are following this blog, but I didn’t get notification for that person. Also, that person didn’t receive new posts. It works for some, and not for others.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Did they check in their email client spam/junk mail filter?
  Do they have a WordPress.com username account?
  If so what is the username please?
  If they do not have a username account please type their email address here as Staff can see it even though the software will redact it. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  They didn’t get my post. Moreover I didn’t get a mail saying that the person is following. Because I got the notification for other followers. Do they need to have wordpress account to follow my blog?

  No they do not need to have a WordPress.com account. That’s why I asked what the email addresses of this person or people are above. Without your providing them I don’t know how Staff can track down what happened.

  Please confirm your settings > Settings > Discussion
  E-mail me whenever
  _ Anyone posts a comment
  _A comment is held for moderation
  _Someone likes one of my posts
  _Someone reblogs one of my posts
  _ Someone follows my blog
  “save changes”

  Ok, their email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  I have all option enabled under settings already.

  Thanks for confirming your settings. Staff can see the redcated email address that we cannot see.

  Hi alicejulia,

  It looks like you have two pending followers who have not confirmed their follow requests. The person whose email address you included here is one of them.

  Do they need to confirm their subscription from the email they received when they clicked follow?
  can you let me know the other person in this pending request?

  While I cannot give out the full email address for the other pending follower, the partial email address is j******@gmail.com, if that helps.

  Hi there,

  This page explains the process:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/following/#how-to-follow-new-blogs

  If the user is not logged in to WordPress.com, when the click the Follow button, they will be prompted for an email address. We will then send them a confirmation email with a link that they need to follow to add themselves as a follower to your blog. Until they do that, they will not receive notifications of new posts.
