Hi! Is possible to put a follow this blog link or button directly on a page or post? I do have the widget on my sidebar.
On my shows page I’d love to write something like “to sign up for email updates click here” instead of directing readers to the sidebar.

You can create a daft post and in it create a link to subscribe.Then you can copy and paste it onto the bottom of each post. For the direct link to subscribe see here http://wp.me/pinhe-iU
