follow me
-
Forgive me if this is already answered somewhere. I can’t find it and I’m new to this and it’s a bit overwhelming. Someone asked me if I have a “follow me” button. They have one on their blog. Is this something that can be set up with widgets or is it not available through WordPress.com? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s a reference to something in Twitter. Basically, in blogging terms, they’d like to “Subscribe” to your blog using your RSS Feed. If this is your site http://mothahhood.wordpress.com/ you already have ways / links available for people to “Follow” your blog, but the easiest one WordPress has is the “Meta Widget”. It includes a link to both your Post and Comment Feeds.
Your RSS Feed, which is what they’d subscribe to, is http://mothahhood.wordpress.com/feed/ and your comments feed would be http://mothahhood.wordpress.com/comments/feed/
I’m pretty sure this is what you’re looking for… let me know if it’s something else (maybe include a link to the site with the “follow me” link), and I’ll give it another shot.

How do I add a sign up area for people to be able to sign up to receive my blog? Sorry, I just don’t get it. Thanks

@askmerry: Using feedburner allows people to subscribe to your blog, when they sign up they’ll be able to view your new blog posts or your summaries (Dashboard => General => Reading => For each article in a feed, show => Summaries) in a Feed Reader.
Also if you enable the service people can sign up to a mailing list, in this case they’ll receive a new mail each time you make a new post.
