Follow me on……Stumbleupon Button
-
I have managed to use the text widget & create a Follow Me on ‘Pinterest’ button on my sidebar, but I have been trying for hours to do the same with a Stumbleupon button, but to no avail. I have a stumbleupon account & I have tried adding different html/codes (searched on google) to the text widget (underneath the code for pinterest), but nothing seems to work. I just want the red stumbleupon logo. I also want to do the same for Goodreads (just the logo button). I have created a goodreads sidebar which displays the books I have read (i followed instructions from goodreads). I’m not on about ‘sharing’ which I know goes under my posts, but the ‘Follow Me On’ logo buttons on a sidebar, which when clicked on takes you to my site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You go to the stumbleupon site and goodreads site and capture an image which you upload to your computer. You upload it into a draft post and you link it to your profiles on those social networks. Then you switch to the HTML editor and copy the code. You go to > Appearance > Widgets and locate a text widget, click to open it and past ein the code. Click “save” and “close”. Then you delete the draft post.

Thanks timethief, but still struggling. Have been onto both websites, but they don’t seem to have the ‘image logo’ button I can click & save to my computer. They have this on Pinterest, where I had a choice of 3 buttons with their html code which I copied & pasted into text widget & that has worked. This is a new blog & I’m doing & learning as I go along, but this is really flummoxing me.

that’s the only bit i do know how to do!;) But there are no images (image logo) for me to do this function. Feel like I’m incredibly thick for something that should be so simple :)

Ok, so I googled goodreads logo & a load of different designs came up. I saved image into a folder on my computer then copied image, pasted it into a draft post (sometimes works, sometimes won’t)? then switched to html & copied text, then pasted into text widget & saved. It worked, but the image was huge! Don’t know how to make logo smaller or even how to link it so it goes straight to my good reads page???? Why is this so hard???

So I managed to find smaller image logos on google & have saved them onto my computer, but I can’t paste the image into the draft post, it worked twice when I was experimenting, but has now ceased to paste image, help??

Copy and paste won’t work. To get the images form your computer into your blog in a draft post do this > http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/#upload-images-from-your-computer
