I want to follow this blog, but a window opened that said because I did not provide an email address connected with my WordPress site, I could not follow it. I provided my email, (email visible only to moderators and staff) and my WordPress account is Multimodaweb.com. The email I provided is the one connected to my WordPress account. So what gives?

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
