Follow widget also not working for my blog
-
Actually at least one person received email notification, but not others. Have only started checking who’s getting, who’s not…and cannot make sense of any difference between them. Most have been subscribed for 5 years.
I’m new to the forum; couldn’t see a way just to join an existing discussion if that’s how I should have done this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can give you two emails for now that I know didn’t get the last two blog entry notifications:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)This person did get email notification:
(email visible only to moderators and staff) -
Thanks for waiting patiently for Staff help. They can read the redacted email addresses that we cannot see.

Hi Carol!
I checked our system, an update has been sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff), please ask them to do a global search including spam, trash folder. However none was sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) because they blocked all emails from us.
Cheers! -
Difficult to know which person was the one you’ve sent an update to and which one blocked wordpress emails. I *might* be able to figure it out by talking to them.
Not sure if staff checks for replies, but 2 things:
1) it would help if you could say whether those responses dealt with the redacted emails in the same order as I gave them to you; and2) I’ll contact the rest of my list. It’s not too long as I’m just getting active blogging again. Will reply again. Meanwhile please leave this thread as unsolved until you hear from me that the rest of the list is okay. Or not. I’ll number any subsequent addresses that didn’t get notification, and that should help the communication.
Thanks for your help!

Hi there,
The dinosaur@ email you provided was sent notification emails. If they’re not getting them, the problem might be with their email provider spamming or otherwise filtering our emails.
The bigbitster@ email is blocking us from sending them any post notification emails. They’ll need to change that setting on this page:
https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions/
2) I’ll contact the rest of my list. It’s not too long as I’m just getting active blogging again. Will reply again. Meanwhile please leave this thread as unsolved until you hear from me that the rest of the list is okay. Or not. I’ll number any subsequent addresses that didn’t get notification, and that should help the communication.
If any of your followers are not receiving notifications any more it’s really best if they contact us themselves, as we cannot make changes to someone else’s account at your request.

Thank you! That helps a lot. Two small point for additional clarity:
1) Re: dinorsaur email address, note the r after dino. Autocorrect changed it just now, and maybe it changed it when I first provided it? I’m hoping that didn’t screw up either your surmise or Katia’s system check of what happened. Have let the follower know what you said about their provider possibly being the source of the problem. We’ll hope for the best. The only other idea I had for her was to sign up again, using a different email address.
2) Re bigbitster follower, I’m hoping the WordPress url you provided will work for her. She’s a grandma who will figure it out if she can, but otherwise has to wait for the next time her son comes to visit.
So for her and any other followers not getting notifications, exactly how do they contact WordPress as you suggest? Do they have to use this forum? Or is there another way? Maybe a “help” page I could offer them?
Thanks again.

dinorsaur email address, note the r after dino. Autocorrect changed it just now, and maybe it changed it when I first provided it?
That was my typo – I typed instead of copying – but when we checked the subscriptions we checked the correctly-spelled address you provided.

You can find our support page explaining how to control email notifications here:

Those who need me to check their accounts are welcome to post directly in this thread.
