"follow" widget not responding. Blog entry not publishing on first attempt.

I’m getting reports that the “follow” widget is not responding to people entering their email addresses when prompted. They type, but nothing happens. I have had similar issues when setting up my blog -different widgets or changes not responding, and I find I need to refresh the page several times to get them to work. I had thought it might be my internet connection (which can be slow at times), but now visitors to my blog are experiencing similar issues. -is there anything I can do? -Also I had published a new blog-entry last night, then pasted the link on my FB site. Today people are telling me the link isn’t working, that they are getting “page cannot be found” messages. I checked and found that the entry was still in the “draft” queue, so I published it again today. Now the link seems to work. -Why didn’t it publish the first time? -Any help would be appreciated -Thanks!

It seems to me that if they have a WP UserID — that following your blog will add your content to their “Reader” listing. This happens automatically, and the “Follow” Icon changes to let them know it’s accomplished. There would be no dialogue prompting for email addy.
I could be off base. Someone else, suggestions?

The follow widget appears to be working for me.
Could you please provide more information about this for me? It would be helpful to know the email address or username for those who say it’s not working, as well as their browser and browser versions.
As for your post not showing up on Facebook, and then reverting to a draft, I’m not sure what happened there, but if it continues to happen, please let me know.

Thanks Jackiedana for looking into this. The widget was nonresponsive during the time that the blog entry was apparently still in the “draft” queue (after I thought it had published). It is working now, so I’m guessing the problems were related. I’ll keep an eye on things, and if I encounter more problems, I’ll let you know.
