Followed Sites, posts reappear at top

I often see posts in the Reader, under Followed Sites, reappear at the top of the stream. Posts that I first saw 12 or more hours ago, for example, that now say they were just posted. Reblogging your own post, would only include a link back to the original, but these are the full posts, which retain all likes and comments (so they’re not just being deleted and re-posted). I was just curious how this is happening.
