Follower access.

    The people I invite to read my posts aka followers cannot access my posts after probably the first time. So they cannot read new posts and possibly they do not get a notification of those new posts.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi cruciblemonk,

    all viewers added to a private site must have a WordPress.com account and be logged in when they are trying to view the site — this ensures that only those people you’ve authorized are able to view it.
    Followers will not see the site, only viewers.
