Follower can't leave comments

  Hello,

  One of my long time followers has been unable to leave comments on my blog for sometime now and has to resort to emailing me to let me know her thoughts. This is getting annoying now and its made worse by the fact that she used to be able to comment on my blog and she has her own WordPress blog which I can comment on.

  Please can you help identify the problem.

  I’m thinking that it is possible the your friends’ comments are going to the spam filter. In that case she will need to contact Akismet Staff at this link http://akismet.com/contact/ and select
  _ I think Akismet is catching my comments by mistake

  Will you please have that friend login an communicate directly with WordPress Support Staff in this thread? I tagged this thread for Staff assistance.   Hi @thelandroverownerswife,

  If you could let me know the email address of the follower that’s having trouble, that would be helpful as well. Please note, the email address will appear redacted in the forums, but it will be visible to staff.

  Also, could you elaborate on what’s happening when she tries to leave a comment? Does she receive an error message?

  Oh apologies Jeremy, I thought I had responded to your message. Just wanted to clarify that redacted means that if I put Jennies email here, in a reply, then it won’t show in a legible form to anyone but staff?

  Jennie has successfully commented on my blog for the first time in months (went into moderation from which I approved it). Not sure who fixed the problem but thank you ever so much :)

  Could you link me to the post where you were trying to comment? Also, could you let me know if you were logged in to WordPress.com? If not, can you let me know the information you tried to enter in the form (name, email address, etc)?
