Follower count

  Hi. I know I have 2 followers for my new site. In Stats menu, it is stated 2 followers. When clicking on the link Followers(2) in upper right corner, The next page says: No followers yet, when in the Followers tab. If then clicking on tab: E-mail followers, my 2 followers comes up. I do not understand this. Also, I have created a Widget, with ‘follow me’ button. I have also enabled the ‘show follower count’. But the count says 0, even though I have 2. I do not understand this either. Somebody please explain

  Update to my question: I think I have found out that since my followers are not wordpress users, only e-mail followers, they will not be listed in the Followers Tab. Also, the same thing with the Follower count attached to the Follow Me widget. Am I assuming correctly?
  Anyway, I found the e-mail followers in the Stats / Insights page.
