Follower emails

    Hi!
    I know when I make a new post, all my followers get an email update of that post. The whole post is in that email so they can read my whole post from their email without the need to actually go to my website. Hence, my site gets less traffic. When a follower reads my post from their email, does this count as a view? Is there a way to update them via email with just an extract of the post so they still have to come on to my site to finish reading it?

    Yes it does count as a view. You can opt to show just an excerpt instead. That’s here:
    https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/

    Under feed settings, select Excerpt. You’ll be all set for the next post.
