Follower Migration

  Hello,

  Is it possible to move my WordPress followers back to my wordpress.com site from my self hosted wordpress.org site? I moved my site to self host years ago and did the migration then. While my old site and it’s content remained, I noticed that my followers didn’t. So far I only see the option to migrate followers from wordpress.com to self host but not the other way around. I’m hoping there’s a way to do this as I’ll like to start using my old site again and still keep my self hosted one even if the followers don’t remain there. Any advice will help. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  If the self-hosted site is using the Jetpack plugin, and those are followers who subscribed via Jetpack’s subscription feature, we can transfer them back to WordPress.com for you, yes. We just need to know the URL of the site you want to transfer from, and the URL of the site you want to transfer them to.

  We’re not able to transfer subscribers who used other subscription systems besides Jetpack to a WordPress.com site.

  That’s GREAT news! I do have the Jetpack plugin, and my followers are
  WordPress followers.
  My self hosted website is lauxbeauty.com and I’ll like to transfer my subscribers back to mizshaazstyle.wordpress.com. Thank You so much!
