Follower numbers

  My blog, http://morselewisendeavour.wordpress.com/ is showing only five followers when I have 25. Please help

  That’s the followers of my other blog, http://womensprizeforfictionbookreview.wordpress.com/. On my http://morselewisendeavour.wordpress.com/ blog it is showing as 6 followers when it quite clearly says below the wordpress widget “You are following this blog, along with 28 other amazing people”.

  Hi,

  She did, for TT’s links to work, be logged in to the blog you are querying first… Here’s another link that gives you a clear interpretation of your ‘Followers’ in general.

  Short note: ‘Followers’ include Twitter, Tumblr and Blog.

  No. she didn’t afreestyler as I explained on a previous comment. The problem is that on my blog, http://morselewisendeavour.wordpress.com/, the wordpress follow widget shows 6 followers but I have 29 and this is verified under the widget where it states, “You are following this blog, along with 29 other amazing people”. When my blog reached 20 followers the first digit (i.e. the 2) disappeared.

  I did tag this thread for Staff and after a thread is tagged for them it’s best not to post into it. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. When we post into a thread after it’s tagged for Staff the datestamp and timestamp move forward and it takes longer to get help.

  Ok. Just thought I’d help out ~ I don’t use the ‘follow’ widget you are describing. I’m sure staff will contact you Kit. All the best.

  ps: I have a unanswered topic of 12+ hrs.. I just answer a few questions that may have been useful, while hoping on an answer to my own.

  Hello Chris! If you take a look at your subscribers here:

  http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=63594555&blog_subscribers&unit=1

  You’ll see that you have 6 WordPress.com followers and 15 email-only followers.

  Now, if you take a look at your stats and scroll a little bit below, you’ll see that you also have 9 followers on Facebook.

  http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=63594555&unit=1

  Let’s add those numbers up: 6 + 15 + 9 = 30 subscribers.
