Follower or just a 'favorite' ?
-
Greetings!
I recently created a blog, and once announcing it on social media, many family and friends messaged me telling me that they are now “officially following my blog”.
Yet, their email address isn’t showing up as one of my followers.
I’ve tested the whole ‘follow my blog by email’ process from an outside browser while I was signed out, and it works fine so long as I follow the instructions (enter email, click follow, check email for confirmation, click confirm, get following confirmation, etc.).These folks that say they are following, but not showing up in my Dashboard stats…is it possible they got the procedure wrong, and are not actually following (thinking they are)? Otherwise, why wouldn’t they be showing up in the stats?
I realize this is a minor thing, but I it’s the little things that bug me and I need to solve and find answers for before tackling the bigger issues (of which there are none, now…haha)
Hope this isn’t confusing…lol.
Thanks for any forthcoming advice & help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If they didn’t confirm their subscription, they won’t show up as subscribers on your stats page.
Ask them to check their mail and make sure that they followed through to confirm their subscription.

Hi Jennifer,
Thanks a bunch for your suggestion….I’ll go ahead and do a followup on each of their confirmations, and see what they say.
Thanks & enjoy the weekend!
