Follower Problems

WELCOME TO CRYSTAL’S SITE(ORIGINALLY COUNTRY LIVING)CRYSTAL’S PHOTO-BLOGGING SITE I had this problem before and since the topic is closed I decided to start a new thread. I just found out WordPress has some strict SPAMMER policy and apparently they think I am spamming because they won’t let follow people/sites by e-mail. Granted I follow a lot but I do it weekly and yes I go through every one. I do this out of enjoyment not malice. I have tried 2 different browsers and can’t follow sites. How long is this going to keep up? This is for both of my sites. What can I do? Thanks In Advance For Your Help.

Hi there,
Our logs are showing you repeatedly following several sites per minute, which is what caused you to be blocked. It appears you’re just clicking Follow on sites that appear in the Reader without even visiting the actual sites or reading any content on them.
Additionally you are currently following over 700 sites. The Reader feature is intended for following posts on a reasonable number of sites — not for showing approval, promotion of your sites, or really anything on this scale.
I’ve re-enabled following for your account, but if you persist with this type of following behaviour your account will be blocked again, and then we won’t re-enable follows again.

kokkieh, it may seem that way but it isn’t that way. If someone checks out my site and they’re not following me yet then I check their site out before following so I don’t just hit follow. What’s the limit for following from the reader? I like following sites from reader.

Flash player is embedded but not enabled. How do I enable flash player and get it not to say not installed?

kokkieh. I’m not a spammer I just like to follow sites. I also don’t like be threatened. Some of these sites I followed from the persons blog. What’s my limit.

Hi @daisymae2017, it’s fine to follow sites if you are reading them. Just don’t follow sites that quickly. kokkieh isn’t trying to threaten you, just stating what will happen so you can avoid getting blocked.
The question about flash player is more about your browser than about WordPress, but there are several answers in Google about that (here’s what I searched for). If you’ll look through and find one for the browser you’re using, you’ll be in business. Good luck!
