Follower registered for private rather than public version of site

    I have two sites, one public flyfins.org, and one that is for testing (fflytest.wordpress.com) so the settings are set usually to keep it private. Accidentally, someone looking to follow the main site registered for the test site. I would like to unfollow them from the test site and they are telling me that they are having trouble registering to follow the main site? Is there any reason following the test site would cause a conflict with main site? And, how do I remove them from following the test site?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    The two sites are separate, so following one wouldn’t cause problems with the other. Can you tell me the details about that follower, for example their email address? (You can reply here with the email address and our support forum software will hide it from everyone except staff.) That way I can check to see if something related to their account is causing trouble.

    And, how do I remove them from following the test site?

    Since you’ve made the test site private, no one signed up to follow it (including this follower) will be able to access it or get updates about the site. They’re effectively not a follower already. :) Only people you invite as a viewer will be able to view and follow the site while it’s private.

    We did resolve the issue of following the live site, that was user confusion.
    But i really appreciate your response!
    So since i changed the settings on the private site back to “invite only”, then anyone who is a follower won’t receive posts….got it…thank you!
    *Also, as an aside can i get help with a CSS rollover question (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/css-rollover?replies=1)? I posted it Sunday in the forums area and have not receive a response? Do i need to submit the question in a different area?

    I’m glad that follower issue is sorted out. :)

    There are some CSS experts (both staff and volunteers) who help out with questions in the CSS Customization forum, where you posted that CSS question. They aren’t always able to answer questions right away — I’ll take a look at your question and see if I can help with it!
