Follower spam
-
Hi, I’m getting a lot of (more than I used to) followers on my blog lately. I haven’t posted anything in a long time, and I am sure it’s “follow spam”. Any way to delete them?
They all got email addresses like [surenamefamilyname][number][familyname]@yahoo.com or gmail.com.
If you check their sites, it’s obviously spam.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ok, and there won’t be either? It should, since it makes the list with followers less useful.
Or, I don’t need the possibility to delete these followers, but they should be weeded out by WordPress every now and then.

I have no idea if there will be a way to do it or not, but with the spammers the minute you weed them out they’ll re-subscribe.

A blocking of email address and hiding from my feed would be nice. And a “is this spam followers”-list for prospects. As for the regular comment-spam-list.

I guess not? Since the purpose is to get me to click on the link to their spam-site. If they subscribe to an RSS, I don’t care that much, that won’t add up to be noise in the user interfaces I frequent.
