Follower that is a stalker

Blocking a follower
Is there ANY way that we can keep someone from actually following my blog? I recognise that it is impossible to keep them from reading my blog, but I don’t want my stalker to have easy access to me or my words or be able to comment on my posts. HELP!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can’t remove a follower as your blog is public. The only way to completely stop someone from viewing what you post is to make your blog private, but then you would have to invite or approve every individual person who wanted to read it.
The best way to work around this is to set up your comment blacklist so that if someone is posting abusive messages they are automatically removed. If you haven’t already you should also set up the conditions for who can comment (read all of the page to which I linked for an explanation).

Dear Hallluke – thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Truly. Will heed your advice on the comment blacklist as it seems the only viable solution to ‘peace of mind’.

I have my comments set up so that people need to provide a name and email address before they can leave a comment. I also have the “before a comment appears [the] comment author must have a previously approved comment” option checked.
Depending on the amount of traffic and number of comments you get this might not be viable but it’s a good way of screening comments – I recommend trying it out.

I moderate all comments – but I don’t have many comments on my site – it does make sure however that nothing you don’t approve gets into the public

AuxClass I moderate all my comments too; it’s just the ‘fact’ that he is making his presence KNOWN that freaks me out so much. Why can’t he just read my blog and not subscribe? (Rhetorical). I just want him blocked, gone, and out of my life.

Short version:
You can’t block or delete followers because there is no means of blocking anyone on the internet from access any public blog and submitting comments if and when comments are open.Long version:
We cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Anyone and everyone can access public blogs and that’s indeed what the public designation means. However, please read this about public blogs that become private blogs > Blog Privacy and Subscribers > http://wpcommaven.wordpress.com/2011/09/05/blog-privacy-and-subscribers/To change blog visibility to Private go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Site Visibility and choose option 3
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/You don’t need an upgrade of any kind at all to invite multiple people to contribute to a private blog. See:
adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
Note that you have complete control over everything that’s posted to your blog via comment moderation
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderationFor trolls, you can “blacklist” them at Settings > Discussion toward the bottom of that page. Enter their email address, their username, and if they included it, their website URL. That will automatically send them to moderation so that their comments do not appear on the blog. Do note though that if they are determined, they can use a different email address or username to get around that.
Also, do not put their IP address in the blacklist. IP addresses are no longer unique, and you might end up blocking legitimate visitors. In fact for over a decade only about 30% of us have IPs that trace back to any individual computer. Also, all they would have to do is go to a wi-fi hot spot, or connect via a different ISP and they could get around that.
