    Hi there,

    I recently used guided transfer from .com to a self-hosted site. Except I keep getting followers on my .com, instead of my self-hosted. How do I stop this process and shift traffic over to the self-hosted?

    Hi Leroy,

    So there are a couple options that you can take:

    1) The easiest and free option would be create a sticky post or add a Text Widget explaining that your site has been moved and you can add a link to that site. Real followers will see that and not follow a blog that isn’t being updated.

    2) The Site Redirect upgrade will allow you to automatically redirect users from your WordPress.com site to your new self-hosted site ($13/year). Take a look at the link below for more information:

    3) You can set you WordPress.com site to private and make it unavailable. This is possible by going to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard.
