  Hi
  I am new to WordPress so still fiding my way around. Do followers have to sign in? i have sent a few links for friends to follow mw, but they are all being asked to create an account.
  I guess it is in the settings somewhere but i cannot see where

  Your blog is set to “Private”, which means anyone wanting to see it will need an invitation from you, and a WordPress account.

  If you want to open your blog to random people, as well as your friends and family, go here:

  Dashboard > Settings > Privacy > select one of the other two options:

  Allow search engines to index this site.
  Ask search engines not to index this site.
