followers

    Hi !
    I keep emails from “new” followers via outlook but they never show up on my followers list A while ago they said WP knows about this problem and are working on it but they keep popping up ! Are they real followers or just fake ?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    These followers are fake. They are spam-following random sites across WordPress.com, probably hoping you’ll email them back to say thanks for following so they can obtain your email address, and then unfollowing those sites immediately after they confirm the subscription.

    We are working on blocking them, but for now please just ignore them and don’t email them back.
