I have gotten several emails saying ‘Congratulations, so-and-so is following your blog.’ But on the blog itself, when I click on ‘Follows,’ it says I don’t have any!

The most recent notifications you received was for email followers, i.e. people following your site via email only, not via a WordPress.com account. I can see them all listed here:

Where exactly are you looking where you aren’t seeing them?

Thank you! Now I see them. Is there list somewhere of people following via WordPress account? Also, some FB friends have asked me to enter their email addresses to follow my blog, as they are non-technical – can I do that?

Sure can, if you visit this link:

What I would recommend doing is using the Follow Blog widget to your site’s sidebar: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
Then you can have your Facebook friends enter their email address there.
If you want to make things even simpler for them you may use the Blog Subscriber Shortcode and create a page like
joellenkbosson.wordpress.com/followthen link your friends to that page.
