  Hi there,

  Email subscriptions are built into WordPress.com, so there’s nothing you need to set up – as long as your site is public, any visitor can subscribe to email notifications for new posts you publish.

  You can make it easier for them by adding the blog subscription widget to your site, though:

  The thread you linked to is not really relevant to the question the OP asked – they’re asking how can people get emails, not reporting that emails aren’t being sent. That thread is also five years old, and Ehtisham wasn’t even working for us yet at that point, but was just a forum volunteer like you.

  WordPress.com is constantly changing, so if you link to a reply in an existing forum thread, make sure it’s recent and that the information in it is still current.
