  How do I stop someone from following? They keep commenting the same question multiple times a day. I would rather just prevent them from following than have to mark as spam each of their comments.

  Hi,

  You can block the individual in a couple of different ways.

  • Grab the IP address of the commenter from this page: https://hotheeb.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php?comment_status=spam (the 200.131…. number), then paste it in the “Comment Blacklist” section of https://hotheeb.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-discussion.php page.
  • Additionally, each on a separate line, you can list other “blacklist” words–his e-mail address or possibly his name. This would stop him from commenting from the same location as he has been or with the same e-mail address.
  • The other option would be to limit comments to only people with WordPress.com accounts (“Users must be registered and logged in…” option on the Discussion settings page.
