It is really unnecessary to post to five or six threads on the same issue.
I agree because doing that does not result in getting attention. It’s more likely to result in falling between the cracks. Post only into one thread on any given issue is far more effective than the shotgun approach.

I have a strange feeling that my approach has actually meant that the issue was no longer “falling between the cracks” as it was before I posted in response to several peoples concerns. It also helped others know they were not alone. And the responses it initiated in this thread have also helped gain some attention. All resolved for me so thank you to whoever sorted it out. And thanks for your input TT. Cheers!

You impression is wrong but you are entitled to it. You can rabbit hop into multiple threads all over the board posting your same and paste comment but it changed nothing.

Quick update: have had 6 new followers from Friday through last night and only 4 have registered on the counter. Thanks again for looking into this.

Please note that while you receive notifications when someone follows your site, but not when someone unfollows. So you may have lost a couple followers as well as gained new ones. The counter will also have a delay between when someone adds your site and when it shows up in your stats. That is normal.

Thanks so much for getting back to me, Jackie. Just a couple of thoughts: 1) it’s a little odd to me that many of us started to notice the exact same problem at the exact same time. Perhaps there really is a glitch? 2)Re: losing followers…doesn’t occur very often, so again, strange that the numbers would start to drop just at this very time. I’ve also seen several threads in the past 3 days with the same issue 3) I’m pretty sure that I’ve noticed a counter delay in the past, but not nearly this slow.
I’m not trying to be argumentative, but these problems started just on the heels of the follower numbers disappearing and re-showing up (several times recently). Can it possibly be related?

I’m going to look into this further to see if there’s anything else going on here. I’ll let you know if I find anything out.
