Followers cannot be added as Contributors
-
PLEASE, I have about 27 followers, all of which I want them to be CONTRIBUTORS. I have followed all the instructions and it does not work. Even when I invite someone new AS A CONTRIBUTOR, it shows as not having been accepted as such. Can you fix this problem so that people who are followers can add content? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.
Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.

They click on the link and it does not work!
That begs these questions below. Please ask them:
(a) Exactly what kind of device they are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) they are using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/?
NOTE: To upgrade they can go to http://browsehappy.com. They must have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled on their browsers.
(c) Exactly what any error reports they receive state. -
These are the ones who have accepted the invitation: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

and yet, I have no control of the browser they use nor have they mentioned any error message… -
Thanks for the email addresses. I tagged this thread for Staff help. Only they can actually see the redacted email addresses.

Hi @albertosaunero,
It looks like all of the contributors on your blog are still “waiting” here:
https://saunabanosturcoslamarina2865.wordpress.com/wp-admin/users.php?page=wpcom-invite-users
This means that they haven’t accepted the invitation. I checked all of the email addresses you provided, and the none of the individuals have WordPress.com accounts.
Whenever they click “Accept Invitation”, their browser should open to WordPress.com. They’ll see a login screen or have the option to create a new account. In this instance, they will all need to create a new account.
If necessary, you can resend the invitations via the page I linked above. Can you make sure that the users are creating a WordPress.com account when they click “Accept Invitation”?
