Followers' change in site name

  Hi there,

  I’ve noticed a couple of followers change their site name in the last few days which also means that on that app, I’m not able to be directed to their WordPress because it comes up with “__site name is no longer available”. This can be frustrating because I’m not even sure if they’re still following me and still able to see the content. I know on the Reader I can still see their content, but once again, I’m not sure if they can see mine.

  Also, is there any chance that their deleted site will be updated to their current one? (That way I can view it from the followers list on my phone?)

  Hi there,

  When you follow a site on WordPress.com, you follow the site and not the site owner. The implication of that is that if the site owner deletes their site and then starts a new one, you won’t automatically be following their new site. In order to follow the new site, you will need to choose to follow it directly.
