Followers disappear

    Hi. I need help with mu site. I keep losing my followers since I changed my site I was using (email visible only to moderators and staff) and then changed it to alwayswithlovekat.wordpress.com. Since the change, I was not able to keep any followers. I keep loosing them. Please help. Thank you

    Did all your followers when you changed your site’s address or did this happened gradually?

    Hello!
    My followers were all wiped out when I changed my domain name from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to alwayswithlovekat.wordpress.com. Since the change, when someone follows me, they disappear on my next log on or everytime I refresh my site and it becomes zero again. Thank you.

    Hi there,

    You haven’t lost any followers. Everyone who was following it at the old address are still following it and can see it in their Reader feeds.

    But sometimes with a site address change the internal site ID can become disconnected from the Reader feed, so the followers no longer reflect in the dashboard.

    I’ve manually reconnected your site ID to the site’s feed, and you should now see your followers in the dashboard again.

    Incidentally, your old address was kathrinesantos.wordpress.com. (email visible only to moderators and staff) is not a valid blog address, as no website address can ever contain an @ symbol – those are reserved for emails – and we don’t allow special characters like periods in WordPress.com subdomains.
