Followers don´t see posts after the name/address change of the blog

Referring to my last comment in this thread, which is closed already: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/can%C2%B4t-see-my-posts-as-tagged-nor-in-the-reader
and where the last staff comment was: Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions. There is no way to contact directly via the link, or maybe I misunderstood something.

So: I needed to renew my follow to be able to see my own posts in the reader after the name/address change of my blog (by clicking unfollow + follow again). I have other reasons to believe that my followers need to refresh/renew their follows, too, to be able to see the posts from my new blog address in their readers. And one of my followers has confirmed this to be true, too. http://soulfields.wordpress.com/2013/06/11/a-note-concerning-this-new-blog-name-and-the-follows-of-the-previous-nameaddress/

So, I´m asking if you are able to confirm that this is largely so, and fix it? It would be too much of a job and a bit intruding to inform everybody in their comments about it. Or what do you suggest?

    2) I´m guessing this is okay, but just in case could you also check that the wrong flagging of my post(s) , which was fixed by you, is okay in the new blog name/address as well, or if that correction too needs to be refreshed.

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It should not be required for followers to re-follow your blog in able to see your posts in the reader.

And one of my followers has confirmed this to be true, too. http://soulfields.wordpress.com/2013/06/11/a-note-concerning-this-new-blog-name-and-the-follows-of-the-previous-nameaddress/

It might be that the reader of this person didn’t refreshed, for example caused by the browser. Then, when the person re-followed your blog they were able to see your new posts and thinking that was the solution.

For now, there are no outstanding issues and you’re good to go. Your posts appear in the Reader and users shouldn’t get any issues following your blog, unless there’s something in their browser causing this.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Okay, thank you! I have received likesalmost only from non-followers and from the new followers, and there were bloggers that use to do that on a regular basis. It could be that the problem is with the likes/browser. (And it is okay to me not to always like my posts. :D)

I let go now, but would there be further problems I list these details too to remember them and in case they might serve you as well:

    1) I just recalled that I received one “refreshed” new follow notification to my email stating that it came from the previous address, where I didn´t have email notifications on about new followers). The number of followers stayed the same. So, I have hope that there is no mess with the new and the old blog name/address.

    2) Reblogging seems to be working as usual with the new blog address. That was one of the oddities with the former blog address. A couple of the latest rebloggings gave a link instead of working in the usual way. Belonging to the same set of “oddities” or being something else.

    3) My computer is always up-to-date and as clean and protected as can be, so I´m wondering can there be malware or viruses “inside” WP blog site without them being on my computer? This is one thing I´d like to close out having had so many “oddities” especially with the previous address.

And thank you, this support forum is brilliantly taken care of! For a free service I wouldn´t have dared to expected such. PS. My followers of the old blog name/address seem to be back. Maybe it´s because of the recent Internet Explorer updates (or maybe you did something), just guessing though.

PS. To my previous message: The problem may still exist, received such feedback yesterday.

Could you please specify what feedback you received earlier and give more details about it? Was it just from one person or more? and what did they encounter exactly?

    Thanks!

It was one (another) person, who said that she had just realized that my posts don´t appear in her reader. I said that only because of my previous comment, to confirm that I am not sure how it is. As for what I understood is that you think it is a browser issue and so WP cannot influence on it, and I too understand that it can´t be helped by you in that case.

Everything from my part/blog seems to be working fine, like you too said that there should be no problems with it. (This all was for making sure that I haven´t lost a community by the name/address change of my blog. )

    Thanks for the care!

Feel free to ask the user to contact us directly (for example by e-mail) to take a closer look at their issue.

    Thank you!

Thank you. I think for her case the issue is resolved (she renewed the follow, I saw. And as a side note the amount of followers stay the same when they do it). But can I share this email on the blog note I have for those who don´t see my posts in their reader and happen to peek in? And what is the difference between them renewing the follow or contacting you instead or in addition? Would that serve you in understanding what the problem is?

Is there a text somewhere which tells in what kind of cases we can contact you directly? (I would have preferred it myself in this specific case of mine.)

I can login to their account and see if I can reproduce the issue. You can basically contact us directly for anything :)
