Followers not appearing

Hello
I keep receiving emails from (email visible only to moderators and staff) informing me that people are following my blog. However, when I go to look at my list of followers, they are not there, either in the email followers or followers list. Can anyone explain what is happening? Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there, if these new “followers” have outlook.com addresses they are part of a current wave of spammers. Staff are removing them from your followers list so that you don’t have to.
There is a Staff reply at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spammy-follows-from-outlookcom-email-addresses which explains this.
If the followers are not from outlook.com addresses, let us know.

Additionally, until this current wave is over, you can turn off notifications of these new followers by changing your settings here: https://wordpress.com/me/notifications Click the arrow on the right and uncheck the box next to Site follows > Email.
