Followers not getting email alerts to posts

  Quite a few followers are reporting to me that they stopped getting email alerts to post publishing from around 25th March. We changed no settings on our Janomelife end. What could e causing this?

  Hi –

  I’ll be happy to check our logs. Can you share a few email addresses of those that didn’t get the notification of your new posts? Just type them in here like normal in your reply. Our forum software will pull them out automatically so only our staff can view them.

  Here is one who has reported this:
  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  There have been at least 3 or 4 others but I don’t have time to look for all those emails.

  I’m wondering if their spam software has rejected the emails. We used to publish a post about 3-4 times per week. With Covid 19 we have stepped this up to at least 1 per day. Could it be that their spam software is seeing WordPress emails as spam???

  Hi Liz –

  Yes, it’s very possible that these emails are sitting in a spam folder somewhere. I’d suggest that you tell them to search their email client for a phrase from the missing emails and see what turns up.

  Do you see that they are subscribed when going to Manage – People – Email Followers?
