Followers not getting emails when I publish a new post

    This morning I had a scheduled post which published itself at 8am (Queensland, Australia), but my followers have not received an email notification to say that I’ve published a new post.

    Why has this happened?

    Scheduled posts do not publish until the first visitor to the site after the date and time scheduled clicks in and triggers publication of the post.

    There may also be a caching issue that causes a delay. I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Will you please provide a couple of usernames for those WordPress.com bloggers who did not receive the emails as well as a couple of email addresses for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts? The software will redact ie. HIDE the email addresses so only Staff can see them. After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

    Hi there,

    Can you give me the usernames or email addresses of some of your followers who didn’t receive that email notification? (As timethief mentioned, you can put the email addresses in your reply here and our forum software will hide them from everyone except staff.) That way I can investigate the problem further on our end.

    I’m not sure about my wordpress.com followers as I don’t know any of them in person, so couldn’t ask them.

    Having the exact same problem with my blog. Important to note that all day the site was acting sluggish when I would check on stats? and I noticed it was the jetpack stats that were sluggish and in some cases I had to reload the page just to view my stats.
    Just about an hour ago I decided to put out a blog post. The post can be seen on my home page? and was clearly published but the email was not sent out. This has never happened before so just to make certain I wasn’t going crazy I wrote another post and same thing. Its publishing but Jetpack is clearly malfunctioning.

    The problem is indeed Jetpack. Earlier today it was difficult to view my site stats but now? its next to impossible and I keep getting the following error. I will have to manually email each of my subscribers tonight just to send out a post which is just swell. Glad its not just me as it confirms the problem I have been having all day.

    Thanks for those email addresses. I am investigating this with our team and will let you know as soon as I know more about the notification for that post. :)

    In the meantime, I also checked and confirmed that a notification for your latest post went out to your followers, so at this point it looks like the issue is only with the post from June 26. If you notice any other problems with email notifications for other posts, please let me know!

    Hi fantasticchaos,

    My team confirmed that there was an isolated problem sending the email notifications about the post you published on June 26. I’m sorry about that! However, everything is working now and your latest post went out to all of your followers as expected. If you have trouble with this again, please let me know and we can investigate it further. :)
