Followers not getting updates

  I’ve made some changes to my blog (http://sjdpacvictoria.ca) and no emails have come through with the updates. I thought if you followed you got an automatic email with the changes – do I need to hit a button?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – followers receive updates of each new post. They don’t receive updates of new pages, or of edits to posts or pages. I recommend you add a page titled Updates or similar, and select that as your posts page here:
  https://sjdpacvictoria.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  Then, whenever you need to call your followers attention to any bit of news, just create a post with the information and/or linking them to the page on your site where the information can be found. :)

  Hi – I tried what you suggested. I created an Updates page and tested it via main navigation and it worked. but when I change my reading settings “posts page: Updates” it changes the page to “Not Found”.
  What on earth and I doing wrong?!

  Hi there – That’s because you don’t yet have any posts to appear on that page:
  https://sjdpacvictoria.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php

  When you create a post, it will appear there, and will also go out to all of your subscribers. :)

  Thank you! Thank you! My brain size has increased and I have been able to post with my followers getting it as well. I really appreciate you walking me through this process. :)
