Followers not receiving email

    Hiya… I have two followers saying they did not receive an email when my newest blog published. One has confirmed that there is nothing in her junk-mail. Is there any other reason they may not have received an email? Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hi Damon, do you know if they have WordPress.com accounts or not?

    If they are using their WordPress.com account, you may want to ask them to make sure that they’ve configured their subscription to receive instance notifications. By default, following a blog does not activate e-mail notifications, it just adds new posts to their Reader. They can also choose to receive daily or weekly digests, rather than instance notifications.

    They can edit their subscription settings at http://wordpress.com/following/edit/

    If they don’t have WordPress.com accounts, they’ll need to make sure that they clicked on the confirmation link in the e-mail that they received when they requested to subscribe. They may also have configured their subscription to not receive notifications immediately.
