Followers Not Receiving Emails

  I created a new private blog, since my old one had failed to function properly for some time. I invited new followers and some old ones to sign up for the new blog. Only some of the new ones are receiving email notices. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Please help.

  Hi Marcia,

  Email notices for new posts are determined by the reader’s subscription settings, not by the blog’s settings.

  It appears that all your allowed viewers have WordPress.com accounts, so they can verify they’re setup for email notifications by going here:

  https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

  First, they’ll need to be Following your blog (in addition to be allowed to View the site).

  Have them click “Edit” next to your blog, then make sure one of the “Send new posts by email” options is selected. (Example)

  If they are selected, but not receiving emails, that user will need to contact us individually so we can troubleshoot further.
