followers on private site

  I can’t seem to send invitations to existing viewers on my private site to become followers. I want to do this so that they can get email updates. I get a message that they are already members, but this doesnt make them followers.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Viewers on a private site need to follow the site themselves to receive updates. You can’t do this for them.

  To follow your site, they need to view the site and click the follow button that appears in the bottom-right corner. They can then activate email notifications via the Reader:

  You can also add the Follow Blog widget to your site which will allow them to sign up for email notifications directly without needing to activate it in the Reader.
