Followers Question

    Hi,

    I noticed today that I very suddenly have 728 followers on my blog, when just a few days ago I only had 93 or so. While I would be excited about this, I haven’t seen any jump in traffic or views and I haven’t been notified of more than about 2 new followers in the last couple of weeks. I don’t mind appearing like I’m suddenly popular, but thought that I would ask if you could look into it and let me know what’s actually going on. Thank you!

    Hi there,

    When you connect to services like Facebook and Twitter using Publicize, your friends and followers on those services are counted as your blog followers here at WordPress.com. That can cause a sudden jump in the number of followers you see for your blog.

    You can always check your followers from your My Stats page at this link:

    http://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/

    At the bottom left on that page, you will see a box called “Totals, Followers & Shares.” There you can see how many people are following your blog from each service.
