Followers up but stats down

Hi, I’ve noticed that since the Reader changed and you can like or comment without actually opening someones blog that my stats are much lower than they used to be. Has anyone else had the same experience? My followers have gone up! Am I imagining it or is it that you don’t register a hit by liking or even commenting via reader because you’re not actually visiting? Thanks.

I noticed that I am not getting any traffic at all from Facebook and that is not normal since I share my blog on Facebook. Am wondering why that is! Has been like this for several days now.

In the past three weeks my stats have gone down by over half, even though, like the original poster, followers have continued to register for my blog. For years I have averaged between 500-800 views per day. From October 21, however, the views have been going steadily down, even though I have been posting more often than usual.The past few days, even when I spend hours promoting myself (which I hate to do) on social media I’m usually not getting over about 350 views. I registered my domain name near the beginning of October. Could this have anything to do with the declining stats–though the views were normal for a few weeks after? Or has google somehow changed their algorithm? I used to get many more views from search engines. I’m really disturbed that this is happening now that I’ve registered my domain and gotten really serious about the blog. My blog is carmenmccain.com
